Editorial Policy
How we research, write and keep our content accurate.
Last updated: October 17, 2026
Our standards
Every guide is written to be accurate, useful and easy to understand. We prioritize guidance from public health agencies, peer-reviewed research, professional bodies and government regulators.
Research and sourcing
Each guide lists its key sources. We describe the strength of evidence honestly, flag where research is early or disputed, and avoid sensational claims.
Review and updates
Guides are reviewed periodically and when major guidance changes. The date on each article shows the last substantive update. Health content is reviewed by people with relevant credentials as our reviewer network grows.
Independence from advertisers
Advertisers and partners have no influence over our guides or tool results. Sponsored content is always clearly labelled.
Corrections
Spotted an error? Tell us through the contact form. We review every report and correct mistakes promptly.
Use of AI
We may use software tools, including AI, to assist with research, drafting and coding. Humans set the editorial direction, and content is checked against our sources before publishing.
